Light and Air

Paper sculptures. Threaded onto fine stainless steel wires, mounted on the wall or from the ceiling, the paper sculptures come to life. They swing and float in the room. Individual oil, resin- or pigment-treated strips change with time, become brittle. However most of the strips remain untreated, in fine shades of white. Compactly pressed together or separately lined up, in feathery lightness.

Fragility and Firmness

Reliefs. Out of freshly created paper, still mouldable, torn, interwoven, arranged, emerge reliefs. Nestled together still wet the individual paper fibres stick together anew, strip by strip they mat into a paper fur. The paper reveals thus its structure: fragile and malleable, always being transformed and yet of a fascinating firmness.
